How to redeem your Nintendo eShop code
It takes about a minute. You need the code from your order, in My Account › Orders.
On Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch Console
- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu and choose the user whose account you want to use.
- Select Enter Code on the left side of the screen (shown as Redeem Code on European consoles).
- Enter the 16-character code and select OK.
- For an eShop card, select Confirm and then Add to add the funds.
In a web browser Web (download codes)
- Go to ec.nintendo.com/redeem and select Sign in to log in to your Nintendo Account.
- Enter the 16-character code and select Next.
- Re-enter your Nintendo Account password when asked, then select Redeem.
- You must have opened Nintendo eShop on a Switch 2 or Switch with this account at least once.

Does the balance work on both Switch 2 and Switch?
Yes. The balance belongs to your Nintendo Account, so it can be used in Nintendo eShop on any Switch 2 or Switch where that account is linked.
Can I stack several Nintendo Switch Online codes?
Yes. You can add memberships of the same type to extend your time up to 3 years (1,095 days) in total. Individual and family time cannot be combined.
Can I redeem an individual membership code if I am in a family membership?
Nintendo says a code for a different plan does not add to your current membership: it may show an error or run alongside it. Check your plan before redeeming.
Is GameChat on Switch 2 included with Nintendo Switch Online?
Yes. GameChat is part of Nintendo Switch Online. Nintendo let everyone use it without a membership until March 31, 2026; after that a membership is needed.
My card is for another country. Can Nintendo swap it?
No. Nintendo cannot exchange a card for one from another country.
How quickly will I get the code?
Most orders are in your account within 10 minutes. If your payment needs a security check, which is more common on a first order, it can take a little longer. The code is also saved in My Account › Orders.
What if the code doesn't work?
First check that your Nintendo Account is set to the United Kingdom. If it is and the code still shows an error, contact us with a screenshot of the message and your order number.
