A Riot prepaid cash code for a fixed amount in one store currency. When you redeem it you pick one Riot PC game, and the full value is added to that game as its premium currency, such as RP in League of Legends or VP in VALORANT.
Step by step
You need the code from your order email.
In a web browser Riot Code Redemption page
- Go to shop.riotgames.com/redeem, type the code exactly as shown with no spaces, and select Redeem Code.
- Log in to the Riot account that should receive the currency if you are asked to.
- Select the game to add the currency to. A gray game title means this account has not played that game yet.
- Check the current balance and the amount to be added on the summary page, then select Redeem Code.
In the League of Legends client PC
- Log in to the League of Legends client and open the Store.
- Click the Account button.
- Select Redeem Codes.
- Type the code exactly as it appears and press Submit.
In the VALORANT client PC
- Log in to the VALORANT client on PC.
- Click the VALORANT icon next to your VP balance in the upper right corner.
- Select Prepaid Cards & Codes and type the code exactly as it appears.
- Tick the consent box if your region shows one, then click Submit.
Riot Games questions
Can I split one card between League of Legends and VALORANT?
No. The whole value goes to one game on one account in a single redemption. You choose the game on the redemption page, and the choice cannot be split or moved later.
Which server does a USA card work on?
North America. Riot says cards bought in the United States or Canada can only be redeemed on the NA server. A US card will not load on an EU, Turkey or other region account.
Why is a game grayed out when I redeem?
Riot shows a game in gray when the signed-in account has not played it yet. Launch and play that game once, or pick a different game.
What does "You Have Exceeded the Maximum Number of Code Redemption Attempts" mean?
Too many codes were tried recently on the account. Riot asks you to wait 24 hours before trying again.
What is Riot Access?
Riot Access is Riot's system for supplying prepaid codes to authorized sellers. A Riot Access code is redeemed the same way as any other Riot prepaid cash code.
What if the code doesn't work?
Check that your account is set to the right country and that you entered the code exactly. If it still fails, contact us with your order number and a screenshot of the message.
