- Go to minecraft.net/redeem and enter the 25-digit code.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account you use in Minecraft.
- Confirm to apply the Minecoins to your account.
- Open the Marketplace in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, signed in with the same Microsoft account, to spend them.
Java & Bedrock Edition game code Web
- Go to minecraft.net/redeem and enter the 25-digit code.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that should own the game, or create a free account.
- Confirm to add Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC to the account.
- Download the Minecraft Launcher from minecraft.net/download and sign in with the same account to play.

Can I use Minecoins on Nintendo Switch?
From October 27, 2026, Minecoins bought on other devices can no longer be used for Marketplace purchases on Switch or Switch 2, and Minecoins bought on a Nintendo device stay on Nintendo devices. Minecoins you owned before that date move to a Legacy Wallet and still work across compatible platforms, including Nintendo.
Do Minecoins work in Java Edition?
No. The Minecraft Marketplace, where Minecoins are spent, is part of Bedrock Edition only.
Does the Java & Bedrock code work on a Mac?
Java Edition runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Bedrock Edition on PC runs on Windows only, so on a Mac you play the Java part.
I have a 10-digit code. Where do I redeem it?
Minecraft says 10-digit codes are redeemed at xbox.codetocontent.com, not on minecraft.net/redeem.
Can I play with friends on consoles using the Java & Bedrock code?
Yes, through Bedrock Edition on Windows, which supports cross-play with Bedrock on consoles and mobile. Java Edition players can only play with other Java players.
What if the code doesn't work?
Check that your account is set to the right country and that you entered the code exactly. If it still fails, contact us with your order number and a screenshot of the message.
