A Riot prepaid cash code in US dollars for North America accounts. Redeemed into League of Legends, it adds RP (Riot Points), the game's premium currency.
Step by step
You need the code from your order email.
In the League of Legends client PC
- Log in to the League of Legends client and open the Store.
- Click the Account button.
- Select Redeem Codes.
- Type the code exactly as it appears and press Submit.
In a web browser Riot Code Redemption page
- Go to shop.riotgames.com/redeem, type the code exactly as shown with no spaces, and select Redeem Code.
- Log in to the Riot account that should receive the currency if you are asked to.
- Select the game to add the currency to. A gray game title means this account has not played that game yet.
- Check the current balance and the amount to be added on the summary page, then select Redeem Code.
League of Legends questions
Can I use a League of Legends card for VALORANT?
Riot's current redemption page lets you choose which Riot game gets a cash code's value, so you can pick VALORANT on shop.riotgames.com/redeem. The account must be in the same region as the card, and the whole value goes to the one game you pick.
Will a USA card work on EU West or another server?
No. Riot says US and Canada cards only work on the North America server.
What happens to my RP if I transfer servers?
Riot's transfer FAQ says remaining RP moves with the account after the transfer cost is taken. Transfers cannot be reversed or refunded.
Can I redeem the card in Wild Rift?
Riot says cash codes are for the PC versions of its games. Wild Rift uses Wild Cores, not RP.
What if the code doesn't work?
Check that your account is set to the right country and that you entered the code exactly. If it still fails, contact us with your order number and a screenshot of the message.
