A code that adds Google Play balance to your Google Account in the card's country and currency. You spend the balance on apps, games, in-app items, subscriptions and other content sold on Google Play.
Step by step
You need the code from your order email.
On Android Play Store app
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile picture at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Redeem code.
- Enter the code and tap Redeem.
- Check the account that will receive the balance and tap Confirm.
On a computer Web
- Go to play.google.com/redeem and sign in to the right Google Account.
- Enter your code and click Redeem.
- Review the account that will receive the balance.
- Click Confirm.
During a purchase Checkout
- Start buying an item on Google Play and go through checkout until you see the payment method.
- Select the down arrow next to the payment method, then Redeem code.
- Enter the code and follow the on-screen steps.

Can I use a German Google Play card on a US account?
No. A card only redeems on a Play profile set to the same country and currency, and Google says you need to be in that country when you redeem and when you spend.
What if my balance does not cover the full price?
Google lets you combine your Play balance with another payment method for the rest of the purchase.
It says the code was already redeemed. What now?
Check the Play balance on the account you use. Make sure you are signed in to the account that redeemed it and that nobody else with access to the code used it. For privacy reasons Google will not say which account redeemed a code.
Why can't I redeem even though the code is correct?
Google limits the total and daily value of Play balance per country. If a code would take you over the limit, spend some balance or wait 24 hours and try again. Also make sure the card's currency matches your Play country.
What if the code doesn't work?
Check that your account is set to the right country and that you entered the code exactly. If it still fails, contact us with your order number and a screenshot of the message.
