Which payment methods you can use, and what to do if a payment does not go through.
Payment
Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express card, and with Apple Pay or Google Pay on supported devices and browsers. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars.
Is it safe to pay on TechHauz?
Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe over an encrypted connection, and your full card details are not stored by TechHauz. Some payments also ask you to confirm with your bank, for example in your banking app.
Why was my payment declined?
Common reasons are a mistyped card number or expiry date, a billing address that does not match your card, a bank security check that was not completed, not enough funds, or a card that blocks online or international payments.
Check the details and try again, try another card, or ask your bank to allow the payment. A declined payment is not charged.
My order says it is on hold for a security check
Some orders are checked before the code is sent, which is more common on a first order or a large order. This protects you and us from card fraud. We may ask you to confirm a few details. Once the check is done, the code is sent right away.
I was charged but did not get a code
First look in My Account › Orders. If the order is still processing or on hold, the code is on its way once checks finish. If the order failed, the amount shown by your bank is usually a temporary hold that your bank releases.
If the order says completed and you still can’t see the code, contact us with your order number.
Will I pay any extra fees?
TechHauz does not add a fee for paying by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If your card is not in US dollars, your bank may add its own currency conversion fee.
